Car Insurance
What is Car insurance? Is it a legitimate way to protect your self from the hazards on the road, or is it a complete rip-off? Being a teenager in 2002, I believe it is a complete rip-off. Auto Insurance policies these days are extremely unfair, and bias. The chaos ALL insurance companies cause in the lives of teenagers must be changed. When shopping for car insurance, one must realize how much gibberish to look out for. One must also realize that no matter which way you slice it, "they" are bound to get you in some way. If you want to drive, you will pay. You won't pay once, you won't pay twice, and as a matter of fact until our generation stands up for ourselves we are going to pay ridiculous rates, fines, and outstanding policies that make no sense whatsoever. As a matter of fact Auto Insurance is one of the biggest leaders in fraud, and they have the nerve to wonder why! They rip people off daily, and still don't get the reasoning behind it. If a teenager age 16-19 was to begin driving and purchased an insurance plan, a yearly amount would be an average of $2,100-2,800. Within that twelve months, if that teenager drove completel
y safe, did not receive any moving violations, summonses or accidents, where does that $2,100 go? Why in the upcoming year should that teenager have to pay the same amount as the last? Shouldn't a credit of a couple hundred dollars be credited as a reward for driving safely? In America when you pay money don't you usually get something in return, a product or something materialistic? You have just paid all that money for nothing! You will not be "given a break" the next year, you will not be rewarded! They will not make any effort to congratulate your year of safe driving, but rather wait to jump into your wallet if and when a small fender bender occurs. You watch a movie and get to talk about all that frustrates you on the road. Lastly, it only costs around fifty dollars, which saves you hundreds in months to come. The only catch behind this is you are only allowed to take the class once every three years. The driver is now motivated to continue to drive safely, and has just saved money, while the auto insurance company now has a good reputation, and influences customers of the future to invest in their organization. If you got a ticket you think you did not deserve, this is a quick way to eliminate the points that follow the ticket you received. Teenagers have no chance just because the Evident (DMV Info packet) claimed that careless, risky teenagers, rather than adults caused high car accidents on the road. It isn't a hard class, and you pass just by paying attention. They only weapon in the war on car insurance that is too our advantage is DMV's Defensive Driving Course. You are given a test which is not graded, and after passing the class you are awarded a certificate that credits you ten percent off your insurance plan once submitted to your company. If a driver has driven as safe as possible within a year, his account should be credited the following year. It creates a problem for the guy/girl who wants that steady job in town, but after it balances out they are working just to pay car insurance, and they drive safely. This course is usually a six hour class that is separated into two three hour classes.
