Banning the Onership of dogs
For the last couple of years there have been many dog attacks, killing many innocent individuals. Many dog owners train their dogs to be viciously aggressive towards others; whereas other owners enjoy the companionship of a dog. I feel rottweilers and pit bulls are the deadliest breeds to own, and owning them in urban areas should be illegal. There have been many incidents where innocent individuals are being attacked by rottweilers and pit bulls. Rottweilers were responsible for 29 fatal attacks between 1979 and 1996, secondly only to pit
bulls, which accounted for 60 (Walf1). In conclusion, there are many precautions owners must face while taking on the responsibility of owning a dog. While taking the accountability for the ownership of a dog, people should recognize dogs are just as complicated as newborn babies. There are too many attacks in this world today, by rottweliers and pit bulls, and many who are not at fault are being either attacked or killed. Training should be mandatory and leash laws should be enforced, so fewer dog attacks are being reported. Although many individuals own dogs to be brutal to others, there are additional individuals who love the company of a dog. Most dog owners contribute their time and skill in training their pet; whereas others don't have the time or patience. The fatal attacks of the blameless children and residents should stop. The ownership of these vicious dogs is becoming a big problem in society. Law enforcement officials should make fences go up in all areas where dogs are being owned. All dog owners should keep their pets under control. The deadly dogs should be kept away from urban areas and should be in laboratories for testing on their chemical in-balance. When owning a dog, there are many responsibilities that come along with the task. Children are small people, who are closer in size to a dog, so often a dog views them as playmates, rather than someone as leader (McDonnell1).
