My family and friends are proud of me because I am a Certified Nursing Assistance. When I finished high school, I didn't know what I wanted to do. Talking to family and friends about what are some good careers and its jobs, I chose to be a Certified Nursing Assistance. I became a CNA because my boyfriend's mother encouraged me, I wanted a higher paying job, and I like helping others.
             My boyfriend's mother inspired me to take the class to become a CNA. Mrs. Godwin and I were talking about what I want to do in life. I told her I wanted to be a Nurse and an Accountant. She told me about the CNA class and that it would be helpful when I start clinicals in college. When I finished the class, I had to take the state board test; consequently, I was scared but passed. It was time for me to register for class; however, I didn't know what classes to sign up for, so she came along to help me. I am glad that she cares about me like I am one of her kids.
             Secondly, I wanted a better job, so I could make more money and depend on myself. When I was in school, I had a job at a grocery store but wasn't getting paid enough money. I wanted to buy clothes and shoes, but I couldn't because I didn't have enough money. When I finished high school, I knew that I wanted a better paying job. After I passed the CNA test, I went to the hospital and applied there. The hospital called me and asked when I could start; I told them that I could start the next day. I was happy that I had found a better job.
             Lastly, I like helping others. My family has taught me that when one helps another, the one who is doing the helping is going to be blessed. When I see someone who is in pain, needs a friend to talk to, or needs help; therefore, I am there. I like helping others because I know that if I need help, I can depend on other people.
