The primary question people are asking themselves is what should be taught in sex education classes. Sometimes it might seem like everyone in school is talking about who's a virgin, who isn't, and who might be. Abstinence will bring less unintended children to the world. That is the main subject schools should base their sex education on. Many schools are teaching their children to use protection as well. Each person must use his or her own judgment and decide if it's the right time and the right person. Emotional factors could also come into play. Quindlen came to a conclusion that teen girls don't need to be taught about the factors of reproduction but should be taught about abstinence or how to say no. She heard them talking all about men and women's reproductive systems. Unfortunately, some teens feel that they have to lose their virginity to keep their friends or to be accepted. Condoms are not 100% safe but you know that abstinence is.
