Indiana Jones as a Romantic Hero?

Romanticism is an artistic and intellectual movement that originates in the late 18th century and stresses strong emotion, imagination, freedom from classical correctness, and rebellion against social conventions. This movement is manifested by the five I's: imagination, intuition, innocence, inner experience, and inspiration from nature and the supernatural. Moreover a romantic hero is youthful, innocent, intuitive, close to nature, and out of touch with civilization. In the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones is an archeologist that is very well known and has a reputation of being able to accomplish anything. Furthermore, he is a fictitious character that can be considered a romantic hero because he embodies the characteristics of a romantic hero, follows the five I's, and has the qualities of a romantic hero.Indiana's characteristics correlate with the characteristics of a romantic hero. So not only do they look alike and behave alike, but they also value some of the same things. For these reasons Indian Jones forms part of the romanticist movement. Regardless of how one looks at it Indiana Jones has the qualities of a romantic hero. Another characteristic that they have in common is values. This quality is made known throughout the movie. For example if Indiana doesn't follow his intuition and does not search for a secret room in Pankot Palace he wouldn't find the Sankara stones. Another element that plays a crucial role is imagination. An example of that is that most of the time when Indiana is outside he acts much more at home than when he is in a city. This element plays a mayor role in this movie. This is also true of Indiana Jones. This element is found throughout the movie and without it Indiana wouldn't do what he does in the movie.
