Romanticism is an artistic and intellectual movement that originates in the late 18th century and stresses strong emotion, imagination, freedom from classical correctness, and rebellion against social conventions. This movement is manifested by the five I's: imagination, intuition, innocence, inner experience, and inspiration from nature and the supernatural. Moreover a romantic hero is youthful, innocent, intuitive, close to nature, and out of touch with civilization. In the movie Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones is an archeologist that is very well known and has a reputation of being able to accomplish anything. Furthermore, he is a fictitious character that can be considered a romantic hero because he embodies the characteristics of a romantic hero, follows the five I's, and has the qualities of a romantic hero.
             Indiana's characteristics correlate with the characteristics of a romantic hero. One thing that Indiana Jones has in common with a romantic hero is his appearance. For instance a romantic hero is usually someone blond, tan, muscular, and in his early 30's. This is also true of Indiana Jones. In addition to that a hero typically has many other qualities. A few of these are nerves of steel, incredible self control, excels in all things, is very well educated, and knows a lot about everything, unsurprisingly Indiana also has the same qualities. Another characteristic that they have in common is values. Consequently both of them value justice and loyalty. So not only do they look alike and behave alike, but they also value some of the same things.
             Subsequently, Indiana relates to the five I's just like a romantic would. One of the main I's probably is intuition. This element plays a mayor role in this movie.
