Phoenix vs Seattle
Phoenix and its metropolitan area is one of the fastest growing communities in the United States. Although there are many differences and similarities in comparing Phoenix and Seattle. In the next following paragraphs will be discussing weather, geographical location, schooling systems, recreational activities, and agriculture, traffic and skyscraper buildings. The main difference in Seattle and Phoenix is the weather. In Seattle, the weather is very unpredictable. In the morning, there are no clouds in the sky and the next minute it could be boring down rain. Seattle has a wet and rainy reputation. The important fact to remember that Seattle receives thirty- six inches of annual rain each year however is it less than the annual rainfall in New York. Rather than the rain coming down all at once, it is a constant drizzle much like mist. It takes although Seattle is gray and dark most of the time it only takes a day of sunshine to transform it into the city we know as the "Emerald City". On average winter, temperatures can drop below freezing approximately fifteen days a year. Summers in Seattle are the most beautiful season of all. The rain mostly comes in the month of March. In contrast to Seattle's system, Phoenix has one school for Kindergarten through eighth grade. Another reason why there only one block is because of the extreme heat in the summer time. The schooling system in Phoenix and Seattle are very different. After they finish junior high school, they move on to a three-year high school. The traffic in Seattle is worse than here in Phoenix because there are only two ways in Seattle and two ways out of Seattle. There are many activates that you can do when the temperature reach the hundred mark. However, in Seattle there is crops are apples, grapes, cherries, and grapes. Living in the desert the main why we receive over three hundred days of sunshine each year. Because of city ordinances, there are only five skyscraper buildings on one block. On the contrary, the weather of Phoenix is the completely opposite of Seattle's. In Seattle, there are blocks upon blocks of skyscraper buildings. Yet there are y people that commute to downtown Phoenix everyday however there is more than two ways in and out of Phoenix. The are many different types of agriculture in Seattle and Phoenix. They are also built with stand the high winds.
