Spying in hamlet
Hamlet is considered a problem play because of the fact that Hamlet has one major problem which is how can he avenge the murder of his father, now this would not be so hard except for the fact that every one was spying on him. Hamlet has probably eight or nine different spy seines but there are only a few which would explain the plot, the characters, and the atmosphere. The role of spying is done in by almost all the characters even the good prince Hamlet is a spy for a while. Now this is good for the plot and it does show how evil some characters are but the atmosphere changes so many times it is hard The first encounter of spying would have to be Polonius spying on Larates bysending there butler down to Paris to make up some rumors of Larates now this shows how despicable Polnius is to do that to ones son just to see if he is behaving and yet has the nerve to be doing unspeakable acts while he is worried about him. And if his spying had stopped there then he might have lived and of course Larates would not w
The second act of spying is when the not so honorable Rosencratz and Guildersteirn are sent to come and spy on Hamlet an who sent them why none other than the most devious person in the play Cladius. Now the reason that these two are doing this is because they are lazy in a sense, they want nice easy jobs in the courtyard and are pretty much willing to do any thing for it. Now these two are big traitors they only look out for themselves in the way that they tell Hamlet that yes they were sent to spy on him but also tell Cladius that Hamlet knows. But had she not been so stricken with love that she could not tell how wrong she was. For this she will pay the ultimate price every one she loves will die including her. But the tides get turned on them when they are sent to England with Hamlet with a letter telling the king of England to kill Hamlet but Hamlet switches letters and then you find out that they were beheaded. But later on in the play they were sent to see if the reason he was so depressed was because of the fact that he was not given the kingship. That was good for the atmosphere in the fact that it will be the first in the acts that will cause Hamlets death, for Larates would not go into a state of blood rage and not only try but succeed in poisoning him. But if he had stopped then Ophellia would not of gone insane and drown. Now the reason they were brought forth was to see if he knew any thing of how his father died. So the blame of all of this goes to Cladius, It is his fault if he wasn't behind the curtain then Hamlet would not of thought he was Cladius and drive his rapier into his back several times. Also the way that she lets every one walk all over her and the way that she had no remorse of the way that every one was treating her son and she has no idea what is in store of her son.
