The only way Nedry can obtain these embryos is to immobilize the park by interrupting the parks normal function, so that he could sneak in and steal the embryos. There were too many factors that the creators of Jurassic Park assumed controllable. Sam Neill and Laura Dern play the more convincing of the characters. As the power goes out the visitors to the island get stuck in the middle of the T-Rex pen. The three are then accompanied by Ian Malcolm, and a lawyer sent to investigate this mysterious island. Painfully, perhaps even dangerously, but life finds a way. His character would have been more believeable if he would have shown more fasination with the scientific break through that was Jurassic Park. The attention to detail that such a park required was simply overwhelming for the scientists. Grant and Dern plays the part of Dr. Though Jurassic Park sends the message quite elaborately, it was not the first movie to send this message. Jeff Goldblum, who plays Ian Malcolm is slightly less convincing. This is where the suspense picks up again and remains throughout the rest of the movie. For the better half of the beginning of the movie, Ian Malcolm stresses the importance of his chaos theory, reiterating that man cannot assume control over an unpredictable and complex sysem, such as nature.

Magnificent direction by a master of movie fantasy Steven Spielberg, along with amazing special effects make this a captivating, roller coaster ride with plenty of suspense. Then they are offered a chance to join multimillionaire John Hammond to his island.
