A Divine Hero

Straps that held the bottom part of the shoe to your foot used to be the way that shoes were made. They sure have come a long way, considering that they now have different brands and styles. These days, shoes are so advanced that they even have roller blading shoes. They did not even have roller blades around when shoes were first invented. Shoes can have more than one purpose. Actually, they have several purposes.
One of these purposes is to protect your feet. Shoes protect your feet from nails lying on the ground, glass, rocks and other sharp objects. There are shoes that have a steel toe so that if you drop something on your foot, the steel would protect your toes. Many construction workers wear these kinds of shoes so that if they drop a beam or piece if wood on their toes, it would not hurt them. As you can see, shoes do play a very big role in safety on a daily basis.
Shoes are also a big fashion statement. Many people like to show their individuality by the shoes they wear. Some wear wacky shoes, while others like to follow the trend. Shoes can also be a part of fashion because of the style, such as dressy, sports shoes or everyday shoes. As well as being a fashion statement, shoes such as soccer and baseball cleats are needed to play the game. Dancers need dance shoes, while basketball players need basketball shoes. These are all kinds of shoes that have to be worn while playing sports. If not worn, it could become dangerous to play in the game.
Another purpose for wearing shoes is traction. When you run on the soccer field or climb a mountain, you need to have some kind of bottom other than your feet to hold on to the ground. Normal shoes will be fine for everyday life but if you are a mountain climber, or climb extremely steep mountains, there is a special shoe that has steel pegs in the bottom. They are similar to cleats, but have steel pegs instead of rubber cleats.
