DSL vs Cable

Is the cable company in your neighborhood offering a "sweet deal" on their cable modem service? Maybe the phone company has contacted you about their new DSL rollout? Some people live in places where neither cable modem nor DSL service is available, but many others have the choice of both. For those who do live in areas with DSL or cable net support will be able to vastly choose which service to use. Many individuals ponder which service is more beneficial and reliable when it comes to services, price, speed, and last but not least, security. Families no longer need to fight over the phone line when the Internet is being used because DSL and cable net offer a separate line, which doesn't interfere with the original. As a result, having DSL or cable modem services is like having two phone lines but both offer faster speed that exceeds the speed of those equivalent modems. But the main question remains, "which one is better?" the decision is up to one. Commencing to which service is more available and dependable, I come to a conclusion that both meets the same requirements of the customer's need. Both DSL service and cable service aren't available in all areas of the country, some neighborhoods have it and certain don't.

Whereas, if someone is living in a big city with a small business around and a busy neighborhood where more people use the Internet, then I would suggest DSL. If the person lives in a small neighborhood and people rarely have cable services, then choosing cable would be the choice because the speed will be higher since less people are using it. Cable technology can, in theory, achieve networking speeds of approximately 30 Mbps, whereas most forms of DSL cannot reach 10 Mbps. 95, and one receives a modem with easy self-installation that comes at no cost. Unfortunately, the price for DSL or cable cost about $49. Each one is highly recommended because the costumer service each one provides is at its standards. Depending on where one lives, the choice to make many vary as well. 95 a month which is more expensive than regular dial up plans, mainly because of its speed and its special feature where one can be online surfing without using the telephone line and won't miss an important call. Overall, receiving cable net is more expensive than DSL, mainly because of the installation fees, but at times cable is faster than the speed of DSL. Others originate with differences in the approach of service providers, so choosing which service to use is never easy because you get what you pay for. Since DSL is a private line that only the user has access to, the speed of DSL will always be fast, but cable doesn't apply the same rules. Cable net on the other hand is also the same price as DSL but the equipment isn't, at the same time cable modem requires technical assistance to install and there is a fee to that. In conclusion, both DSL and cable modem has its advantages and its disadvantages in different categories. Compared to traditional dial-up access, these two technologies open up homes and small businesses to a new realm of possibilities for network connectivity and applications.
