Dream

             There was an old farmer. He already lost much power living by himself
             and he is alone. To him, a last severe winter was like the time of darkness.
             Now he is ready to meet the spring in order to plant some potatoes with his a
             difficult labor and unstable breathing. Nevertheless, the old farmer works with
             a light smile. When the fall is coming, he will get some potatoes and he will
             sell the potatoes in order to maintain his life. In addition, he could put a bunch
             of roses and a glass of red wine that his wife used to like in her lifetime on his
             wife's gravestone. What is the potato to him? Perhaps, it was a hope that
             he will realize his dream. I think the spring season and his difficult farming
             were a contact of the dream for his hope. It was an action of realization for
             the dream. This story represents the importance of heaving a dream.
             "The Water-Faucet Vision" is a story that talks about the power of belief. It
             made me think of my life, my dream, and my agony. I was led from the story that is a
             heroine's environment surrounded by religion and people whom have not gotten belief
             yet. In this story, Patty used to live without a dream but after meeting the narrator,
             they were really urgent in their longing, and became dependent on a mysterious power
             The title of the story makes me wonder about how the title can associate with
             the power of belief. First I tried to think function of the faucet. It is a type of handle
             that you turn to get water or gas through a pipe, and it controls to turn on or turn off
             by human¡¯s mode. I could find a clue through the title. Perhaps, the narrator wanted to
             make her dream by herself. Based on this story, her vision can be actuality and
             imagination. Therefore, the title (The water-Faucet Vision) gives a hint that she really
             wants to operate her past, present and the fut
