Whenever an idea is questioned, that society believes is true, that person is turned into the outcast. Nobody believed the earth was round except for the great thinkers of the time. Christopher Columbus believed it was round and was laughed at when he proposed the idea to society. Galileo was in a similar situation where he was ridiculed for proposing the earth revolves around the sun. Both of these men are now considered geniuses and came up with ideas that is now thought of as common knowledge. These are a few of the men that did not conform to society and questioned what society believed. They thought for themselves instead of being told what to think by society.
