To escape from paying a huge amount of money just to assure the insurance companies are running comfortably, my parents had decided to trade in their sports car in exchange for a SUV, which is not on the insurance firms black list and enables us to carry our relatives as it would be a 7-seated vehicle. However September the 11th not just triggered the new war in Iraq, it also created a front line between the insurance companies and car owners. It was originated to beat Japanese sales market as the sudden bloom of Japanese economy overwhelmed the American's traditional market. The managers from Land Rover foresee a great demand for the middle or working class in Europe and the Middle-East to have a taste of real off road adventures. Car insurance rates had tripled with irrational conditions which apply to all kinds of sports car owners. It was designed and ready for production in only two and a half years breaking the shortest record of car manufacturing history. I omit that I am a speed-thirsty driver and with the limited capabilities of my mini 4x4, I would rather drive my parents' car. Before the Discovery was launched, Land Rover only serves luxury top of the range rovers for the English gamesmen who hunt foxes and landlords who farm hundreds of square miles of land, and practical off road machines for civil and military use. With its success, the vehicle can be found all over the world as a passenger car.
