Physical Fitness
In this paper, I plan on discussing physical fitness and its five components. I will also discuss the importance of being physically fit. The five components can almost be considered as one, because if you have one you will probably have them all. Being physically fit and the five components can be achieved by one thing and that is exercise. What is physical fitness? Dictionary.com says that physical fitness is a noun that means good physical condition; being in shape or in condition. What does being in good physical condition mean to the average person? It could mean that they have to run two or more miles, or go to the gym for three hours and working out and eating three well balanced meals everyday. Others might just consider themselves as being physically fit just the way they are now, even if they are a little overweight. It just depends on the person, because there is no such thing as the average person. Not all people are alike in the way of their thinking. Some people are happy the way they are and other people are very open to new physical changes no matter what work they will have to put into it. How would you go about get physically fit? It is not health to take most diet pills because of the chance of getting addicted. Another easy way to have fun is find a ?get fit friend?. What is flexibility? Flexibility is your ability to move your joints and use your muscles through their full range of motion. Fat mass is just the remaining fat tissue. Is it possible to get fit and have fun? Of course you can get fit and have fun at the same time. Muscular endurance in the arm and shoulder can be measured by how many push-ups could be done in a timed period. What is body composition? Body composition is the makeup of the body in terms of lean mass and fat mass. Physical education classes, in most high schools and junior high schools are usually not taken very seriously by most students. Muscular strength is the ability of a muscle to exert force for a brief period of time. It is not healthy to try and eliminate all of your fat mass. You can have fun while dieting and exercising. A person with a small fitness level has more trouble supplying the needed oxygen to the cells. Plus, there is a risk of damaging your inside. Who knows all the good memories you could make while getting fit. Exercise is the best way to maintain a good ratio of fat mass to lean mass.
