The middle east is a land full of hate and conflict, many factors from both past and present combine to make the middle east the center of unrest that it is today. Some factors are it’s diverse group of peoples living in such a small area, the many different rulers and owners the land has had throughout the years, and the evil rulers the countries currently have. Those are just a few of the many reasons the middle east is presently a troubled and turbulent area.
One of the main reasons there is so much tension in the middle east, is all of the different peoples and ethnic groups that live there. This is due to the numerous rulers the middle east has had over the past centuries. Ruling power will be passed from empire to empire and kingdom to kingdom numerous times, each time a new gauge is formed, more hatred is grown for the enemy, and more and more people wish to fight again for the land they believe is rightfully theirs. The middle east is defined as the lands in North Africa, all the way east to the Dardanelles in Asia Minor, so technically the first rulers of the middle east were the ancient Egyptians in 4000 BC, later the war-like Assyrians grew up along-side the Egy

Another major contributing factor to the current crisis in the middle east would be the numerous wars, struggles, grudges, and disagreements that the various factions and states have had against each other over the ages. Six years later, trouble brews in Israel again. The future of this volatile land is uncertain, but whatever it is, it’s not looking good. Egypt was slightly more success, it managed to get all the way to the Suez Canal, but was soon beaten back by the advanced Israeli army, in fact, Israel was in a position to make a full take over of both Syria and Egypt, but was stopped because of International Intervention and US pressure to compromise a cease-fire. Land is not the only thing that is fought over, money, and often oil, are the cause of many deaths. Things stayed where they are pretty much until the end of World War II. No sooner than it was taken over, Kuwait was liberated by a US lead army and drove Hussein back to Iraq, slaughtering his army along the way. He founded the Al Fatah, an underground terrorist group responsible for numerous deaths in Israel, Arafat gained a reputation for being a ruthless and evil man. This plan was delayed though, and before it was put into action, the state of Israel, which was meant to be a sanctuary for survivors of the Holocaust could live with their family in peace, was created. This caused the surrounding Arab lands to send troops to Palestine to protect its Arab peoples. Around the 11th - 13th centuries, millions of people would die in some of the largest military campaigns in history. A UN cease-fire had to be established or who knows how far Israel would have gone. The Transjordan and Syrian armies were completely wiped out in this single short war.
