Gambling has existed in human history for thousands of years. In the old western movies, it's often seen that people were playing poker together. Many people consider gambling exciting and pleasurable. On the other hand, although many gambling cities like Las Vegas or Macao prosper because of gambling, it is banned in many countries. The spending of casinos, the big profits etc. As an old practice, gambling has its roots in the soil. someone has a lot of money, he or she can drive an expensive car, live in a big house, etc. Also, gambling makes people greedy and materialistic. There is no doubt about it: While gamblers have chances to earn money, there are more chances for them to lose money. Gamblers just win other gamblers' money; it doesn't produce any new money. Gambling once or awhile is not a big deal; gambling often, on the other hand, can be catastrophic. Another drawback of gambling, and the most serious one, is gamblers' addictions to it. Gambling provides chances for people to get a lot of money easily. An extreme example is one inveterate gambler. It's ironic to note that people, who come to gamble with intention of earning money, eventually lose money.
