             As a Military Officer a part of the greatest country in history it is imperative that you possess military rectitude and professionalism. The Army officer must be embodied with a moral fabric that is beyond reproach. We as officers are the standard bearers. The Army officer is the guide for his subordinates to pattern themselves after. When an officer is selfish and morally fails, a kink is placed in the professional armor of the whole Officer Corp. The necessity of military rectitude and professionalism in the Officer Corps is formed within "those three hallowed words" spoken by General MacArthur. Duty, Honor, Country must be a way of life for the Army Officer. If he or she lives by this reverent code professionally and personally it is virtually impossible to fail.
             Duty. It is every officer's duty to perform his duties to the utmost best of his abilities. This often requires him to go above and beyond the call of duty, exceed the standard. My definition of the standard is the bare minimum, so one should always try and exceed the so-called standard. As a professional when dealing with duties there should be little tolerance in jobs accomplished less than standard. It is our duty to uphold the standard.
