Misdemeanor Theft

By definition, misdemeanor theft is a crime of theft that is somewhat less serious than a felony. In other words, the object of theft is under fifty dollars in value. Before one commits an act of misdemeanor theft, there are three very important areas of life that will be affected and therefore must be considered: the individual's future, the individual's family, and the other consumers of society.Committing an injustice to the law, whether it is of misdemeanor or felony in nature, the consequences will always have a subsequently negative affect on what that person's future may hold. For example, when applying for a job, criminal information is required to be supplied and, more than likely will be researched. If you should "hav

Economically speaking, every crime committed affects the consumers of the nation. The consequences for these acts are hindering to several areas of significance that include the future of the delinquent, the family of that delinquent, and the consumers of society abroad. The destruction caused by the culprit's actions extends beyond personal detriment and infiltrates the very function and stability of their family. Therefore, whenever crime is perpetrated and not identified, the honest consumers suffer by having to pay a raised price of goods. The embarrassment that the individual will feel, will escalate greatly when placed on the larger scale of the family. However, stores are not perfectly monitored and therefore cannot be expected to expose every crime committed. In addition, the emotional trauma that the various court proceedings and embarrassment may entail, will linger with the offender for a long period of time, possibly affecting the outcome of impending situations. Also, the foundation of a family is trust and the consequences that one will undergo for committing a crime, regardless of scale, will cause the family to question the criminal's integrity. More than 1500 accounts of misdemeanor theft are reported in the state of Texas alone, everyday. For every one of those crimes that is NOT detected, we consumers pay the price. Thus, problems that inevitably arise within the family structure can create dysfunction, mental instability, health insecurity, and a break down of the various family roles. Stealing from a store causes that store to have SHRINK, or loss of potential profit, so for every potential dollar that they lose due to shrink, they are forced to raise the prices across the board to compensate. In order to decrease the number of cases of misdemeanor theft, stores must be required to take all possible security measures such as cameras and electronic detectors, so as to protect the retail and integrity of the store, as well as the safety and prerogatives of those honest customers and workers within. Throughout America, the rate of misdemeanor theft has dramatically increased.
