             Maynard James Keenan's career started in April, 1991, in Los Angeles, CA, along with three other men: Danny Carey (drummer), Adam Jones (guitarist), and Paul D'Amour (bassist)(Tool: Bio). They formed, in my opinion, one of the greatest, un-well-known bands around today, Tool. Maynard has recorded five albums with Tool since their first release of Opiate in 1992. From the angry screams of Opiate, to the artistic Lateralus, Maynard has changed. Many fans have been disappointed with the latest releases from Tool because they lack the anger of the previous works. Maynard has relied with this, "The whole idea is to get it out: Write the song about it, spout off about it and get over it. I suppose I could repeat myself over and over again, but what's the point of that? The idea is, if I can't heal from my art, then how can you heal? So I've worked some things out and moved on (Loader 1)."
