Government Spending

Everyone who is conscious knows that taxpayers pay millions to the U.S. Federal Government each and every year. These taxes would surely not be a problem if taxpayers could see where their hard earned money is being spent, but the problem is that even the federal government does not know where all of the taxpayers money is going. This is a problem, and it is a big problem, correct?
A hearing by the Official Committee for Government Reform proves that American's today are paying billions on off of the wall projects like checking the safety of frozen cheese pizza. That is just one example, and there are 12 different government agencies that enforce 35 different food safety laws. The greatest thing is that that is just a "slice" of the big problem that our society has on its hands. The Federal Department of Defense apparently is not able to account for 22 million dollars worth of checks written, or for millions of dollars worth of "stolen" office equipment. Twenty-two million dollars plus some is a lot of money that could go a long way in America's educational system. The money would also fit nicely in with the toxic waste clean-up where radiation has ran into groundwater. The kicker is that the project is already 200 million dollars in debt and running 26 months late. Funny how crews could build an overpass over Interstate 65 in a few short months, way ahead of schedule and probably without as much hassle, and crews worked 24 hours a day, but clean-up crews can not clean-up radioactive material in groundwater! I see a major problem, and the smallest portion of the problem is that an interstate is more important than human life.
