this experience through my job at best buy. I use to work there
for six months and I know everything about this. Well to start
off warranties from the manufacture are very limited and you
have to read the fine print to know what is covered. In this
there a lot of gimmicks and flaws. Well I will start of in how to
be a very careful buyer and get right for your money.
Well for many large products there are usually a 1 year
warranty. Now remember the warranty only specifies that they
cover only manufactures defects and no misuse in the product
for the life of it. And they have the right to use remanufactured
parts and null and void the warranty at any time. Also they can
put a rule that this device may not be used out of the U.S. and
cannot be sold outside of the country. Well so as example , you
buy a laptop for two thousand dollars and the laptop has the a
crack in the screen . They can rejec

a computer or laptop Camcorder or dvd player. And the reward to us is that a
promotion or some extra. Well stores like best buy only
keep there doors open from the extra sum of money of the
service plans. I use to see customers and see them just fight
for the money hard earned spent and not get any satisfaction. If you have the
cash to spare then go ahead for it. One example is that u buy a computer the
service plan costs two hundred dollars for three years. And they will force you in any way to buy them
and buy accessories. And only buy
things at sales price. It may
seem a rip off and it may not.
That plain stupid and not worth it. I know because they put in my head to sell
as much as the store has. Well this is fraud the salesman will
force you to buy the extended service and will succeed if you
don’t know how to say no! In some cases the service plain is
good such as you have three years and you don’t have to send
the product to the manufactures for 6-8 weeks when it can be
fixed as soon as 3 days to 3 weeks. t the repair issue and say it
was your fault and it will cost about five hundred dollars and
you are out of question why? This is why, you have done harm
to the product and the company will find any reason to just say
your fault and you will buy another one. But done get a service plan
for a camera that costs 40 dollars and the service is 20 dollars. And the quality of fixing
your product is not very special but they offer you a lemon
policy, that if your product needs more than three repairs you
will be issued another product of the same cost.
