Marketing Plan (Nextel)
At Nextel Communications we deliver quality cellular services and products to the local and national retail market. All of our cellular phones are manufactured by Motorola. Our cellular service differs from competitors. Other cellular phone companies share each others towers and charge roaming fees. Nextel works off of our own nationwide digital network. Basically we own all of our towers that send out signals. This eliminates charging roaming fees to our customers and eliminates hassles of receiving service. Not only is our cellular service one of the best in today's society, we have a patented statewide 2-way radio built in every phone. This radio function will connect anyone with a Nextel phone to another Nextel phone statewide. This eliminates charges of cellular minutes between two Nextel phones. Our target market will be all large businesses and any corporations. We realize that the consumer market is made of many more buyers and potential clients. However, we feel that if we properly distribute our product to all major businesses nationwide, we will have a stronger client base and the corporate level of businessmen will sell our product by word of mouth. Our plan is this; we will market our product competitively wit
To do this we will set goals in each of our departments to achieve this. The white collar, on the go, type businessman might know other people that have Nextel. Next we have the young adult market. These phones are waterproof, and are covered with a plastic molding around the phone to prevent breakage. These warehouses will send inventories to our retail stores and outside sales teams. We expect to take over this market and have the competitive advantage within 10 years of our product offered. We will purchase a chain of retail locations located nationwide numbering around 300. Another goal will be to increase volume of shareholders with our company. None of these companies have a competitive advantage. The cellular industry is also fairly inexpensive, which makes it easy for the average consumer to own a phone. For instance, we are trying to expand our 2-way radios nationwide instead of statewide. If we raise our number of shareholders by 8 percent we will be able to give a higher return on investment at the end of the year. The 2-way radio gives you instant access to any employee in seconds, no matter where they are statewide. The goal for the increase of shareholders will allow us to have more capitol for marketing and development of new products. We feel that once our product is demonstrated, these companies have the capitol to switch their existing service to our product.
