Bruce Lee

"But even in death, as in life, he rose above such crass consideration with a simple but profound philosophy: Walk on." - Linda Lee Cadwell If someone were to ask you this question - "who do you think is the greatest martial artist of all time?" How would you reply?" The only answer I can think of is the legendary, notorious and inspirable Bruce Lee. His wife's quote signifies Bruce's way of life through the learning and teaching of philosophy.Born on November27, 1940, the year of the Dragon, Bruce Lee came into the world with an unsuspecting reputation that would set the world in an interracial whirlwind. Lee's parents had their share amount of traveling abroad; his father, Lee Hoi Chuen, was a popular actor in the Cantonese Opera Company and had his wife Grace accompany him on trips. So then it came to be that in the Jackson Street Hospital in Chinatown of San Francisco, their second son was born and named Bruce, referred to by an attended nurse, as an English name and Jun Fan, his Chinese name meaning "to arouse or shake foreign countries."At the age of 3 months, Bruce's family moved to Hong Kong also known as "the Queen of Exotic Cities" and "the Pearl of the Orient". There they lived in an upstairs apartment with

Bruce wanted to show the world that he could make a difference. At that time, Bruce had set his own personal interest by beginning a class of Wing Chun, teaching its art to anyone of any ethnicity at local parking lots or spaces that would offer demonstrations. He was reported dead due to an allergic reaction from a pill prescribed, Equagesic, that had caused a cerebral edema (swelling in the brain), given to him by a co-star due to a headache. After his recovery, Bruce returned to his main passion of martial arts despite his doctor's orders. Instead, he touched and inspired the lives of many American and Asian cultures around the world. He was only 28 years old, and was engaged to his girlfriend. One morning, Bruce had failed to warm up his muscles while lifting a 125 pound barbell. Usually thematically written of the Chinese being mistreated, Bruce's films were based upon his personal life and experience. Because of Bruce, many minority actors in action movies are able to become mainstream in films. There he worked as a busboy and waiter at the family's restaurant and took up homage in an upstairs room that was no bigger than a closet. Linda, who was a blue-eyed, blonde hair, former cheer leader, had been suddenly mesmerized by the concepts of self-defense. Parker also happened to be the instructor of the infamous Elvis Presley. Friends of Bruce in Seattle would often describe him as an intelligent, generous, and respectful towards the elderly. The day they were married was the day they moved to Oakland, where Bruce opened another martial arts school. Even after 30 years of his death, fans still devoted keep in touch with clubs and organizations of him that still strongly exist to this present day.
