The Tell-Tale Heart
After reading the story of Edgar Allan Poe, many debates happened between classmates of Robert's 8:30 class. Many students think that the killer is not guilty and other think that he's. Some say that he is crazy and that's why he acted like that. Other say that we can accept man like that in today's society. But the big question is: Is the narrator guilty or not? There are two possible answers to this question: yes or no. My answer to this question is yes, he's guilty. I have many reasons to support my thesis. The first reason is that the murder admitted is crime to the police officer and wrote down all his acts. Another reason that proves that he's guilty is the fact that he killed his friend without any valid reason. He also had his plan in mind since a couple of day. His acts were premeditated and that's make him a guilty man.First, he is guilty because he admitted his crime. He wrote down on paper how he killed his friend. If you read his paper, you will see every steps of his thinking in the process of killing the old man. When the policeman came to the house, he also admit
It's very rare that a man confess a crime if he didn't do one. Just go to the house of the old man, and if you seek very carefully, you'll easily find the body under the floor of his bedroom. Also, he knew a week before that he will kill the old man. The fact that he admitted his crime makes him a guilty man. Second, he had no valid reason to kill the old man. If this man can escape from jail after this kind of crime, every body will think that he can kills somebody for stupid reason like : I don't like his feet , his finger make me sick or I want to kill him because he's a red hair man! This kind of man can be free. He showed to the officers where the body of the old man was. He had created a whole plan that covered every possible subject. If you read carefully his "story",you will find every details of his murder.
