Physical, Psychosocial & Cognitive Development of 0-3
There are many developmental achievements that will occur in areas of physical, psychosocial and cognitive throughout the first three years. Normal developmental milestones nearly always occur in the same order but at different ages for different children. Caregivers are also teachers and must help cultivate their development and learning experiences through developmentally appropriate activities. Giving the infant time to practice in their own time is also important as many enjoy to take part in private 'babblings' with themselves or toys around them. Always try to engage in conversation as long as possible with the toddler, ceasing when you feel that the topic is exhausted. Activities that encourage them to learn to cope with this as well as help them to act consciously to maintain contact with you will help. This is because their learning is becoming more thoughtful.
