Lamb to the Slaughter

When she return from the freezer with a leg of lamb to find looking out of the window he said Don't make me any supper I'm going out she walks up behide him rising the piece of lamb then she hits on the back of the head as hard as she could he stood there for few second before falling to the ground. She had told him that they usuallyeat out on a Thursday but Patrick was too tired to so she was making lamb vegtables and peas she then asked Sam what would he suggest for desert Sam looked around the store then said what about a slice of cheesecake he likes that she replied thats perfect.

Few minutes later she phoned the number of police station and the mam who answered she started to cry tell them to come quick Patrick is dead the man asked her who is this specking she replied mrs Patirck Maloney the officer said you mean partick Maolney is dead yes quick he's laying on the floor. Then the other officer asked her what had happaned she said I went to the grocery shop to get so potatoes and a can of paes when I arrived home I found laying there on the floor face down. te of shock and the she whispered I'll get supper. When the two officers arrived Jack and O'Malley she fell into the of jack she then moved a chair near O'Mally she cried is he dead he said I'm afaid so Mrs Maloney.

She tired to convince herself all right I have killed him it had become clear in her mind then all of sudden she realized what she had done and began to panic wondering about what would happan to her and her unborn child if they would kill both them or if they would whait until the baby was born but what did they do?. When she entered the shop she said "hullo Sam in a peculiar voice she then said I'll have potatoes and a can of peas please Sam as he reached up to the top shelf to get the can of peas.

I did not expect and think that Mary Maloney was that kind of person because at the beginnig the story she seemed to be a very kind and caring person who loved her husband more than anything. It was just before six when she left to go the shop lucky for her the lights were still on. She calmed down bit she then put the leg of lamb in a pan into the oven and turned on high. When she returned with the groceries to her husband his supper she put them on the kitchen table she then went thruogh to the living room to find her husband lay on the floor face down she went towards him bent down and she began to cry her heart all the feelings she felt for him built up inside her this felt easy to her because she wasn't acting. She then went up the stairs get washed and ready to go the grocery shop when she was ready she practised what she was going to say to Sam and to the police officers but at the same time trying to act her normal self she practised this another several times before she went out.
