Russian Revolution

The Russian Revolution of 1917 was a major turning point in history. It marked the end of a czar rule of the Romanovs, as well as the beginning of a communist rule. The Revolution didn't just consist of one event. It consisted of many. Some of these events were the Czarist wartime incompetence, the March Revolution, the Czar abdicating his throne, the provisional government failing, and the communists taking control. The first event was the Czarist wartime incompetence. Russia was not prepared for war, economically and militarily. They didn't have the money for a war, they had little food, and their military skills weren't good. This was shown when the Czar entered Russia into a war with Japan. It was also shown when Russia was sent into World War I. The war with Japan cau


People begged for money and an end to the war. In addition, the Czar didn't listen to others. More and more people joined the riot. As the war dragged on, conditions in Russia worsened. This was one major event of the Russian Revolution. The provisional government was not strong, and no one supported them. The rule of the Czar soon came to an end. This, as well as the March Revolution, forced Czar Nicholas II to abdicate his throne. sed the people of Russia to revolt because they lost repeated battles. The Communists ended Russia's involvement in World War I. Also, they restored order to Russia, or the USSR as it was renamed to in 1922. Another event was the March Revolution. The czar rule of the Romanovs finally came to an end after three centuries. The provisional government decided to continue fighting in World War I.
