Our organization, a construction firm "From the Ground Up" utilizes a highly skilled executive team to create a vision founded on the American dream of home ownership. The ability to organize and run a multi-faceted construction company remains challenging yet exciting to all our employees and customers with our shared commitment to excellence. In this article we shall discuss our organizations leadership structure and the value each management team brings together in our quest to be the industry leader as a development corporation.
             To lead is to influence others to come together as one to accomplish a common goal. Leadership is an easy concept to define but a difficult one to study and understand. (Dessler 2001) To be a leader an individual must think like a leader, understand what it is to be a leader, provide a vision for his followers, and last but not least, act like a leader. Leaders at "From the Ground Up" construction corporation have very large shoes to fill. Not only do they interact with bosses and supervisors, they also must motivate employees, build cultural bridges amongst employees, and sometimes if need be, change their type of leadership skills as well.
             Some of the traits that management personnel look at when selecting a leader at "From the Ground Up" construction company include: the inner drive, the want, honesty and integrity, the self-confidence, ability to make good decisions, and the knowledge of the housing development market.
