Demand for Computers

The Computer Market is made up of hundreds of different businesses producing different computer parts. Companies such as NVIDIA and ATI manufacture Video Cards which are able to produce 3D images. Seagate and Western Digital are making faster and larger Hard Disk Drives.

Advanced Micro Devices Incorporated, AMD for short, and Intel Corporation, the two major Microprocessor manufacturers have recently released their latest batch of CPUs. The latest are the 2200 MHz P4 and the Athlon XP 2100+. Each gives us more processing power far beyond our current Microsoft office requirements. Then why would anyone consider buying one of these microprocessors?

Supply of computer chips is affected by the competition between the chip manufacturers. Every year, the chipmakers dramatically increase the performance of their products while decreasing prices, making goods using high-end technology increasingly productive and affordable for consumers. After this the competitive advantage went to companies who used IBM products. However the amount of growth expected in 2002 remains a question. At the moment people are beginning to enter the digital realm. "

The semiconductor chip is a major part of the modern computer revolution. Then it shifted to dependability for parts and services and firms like IBM, Compaq, and Hewlett-Packard commanded price premiums. It is supplied by huge networks of companies producing different products. It will also encourage innovation, which will result in computer chips, and computers that are more powerful and efficient than earlier models.

There are instances when the suppliers plan and limit the supply of their latest chips thus keeping a higher demand for their latest products and therefore keeping prices higher. Over time, however, the higher price will signal manufacturers of computer chips that it may be profitable to increase their production; Or for new suppliers of chips to consider entering the market.

Supply for the computer industry is a broad subject because computers are not supplied by just a few companies.
