The Witches
By: Roald Dahl There lived a boy who lived a little town called Oslo. He became orphan when his parents was on a car ride and crashed during a winter day, but now he lives with her grandmother who's name is Norwegian. This story takes place in Norway, England during summer where a great adventure happens with the boy and the grandmother. Grand High Witch: The Grand High Witch is the greatest of all witches. She is a horrible and mean character. The boy later sees this witch later on in the book when he arrived to Norway and enters a room and hid behind curtains. Later the boy finds out that it's a room full of witches and the Grand High Witch gets up on a stage. The boy sees the Grand High Witch act horrible not only to children, but also to the other witches. She yelled at them and a witch disagreed with her and she
Bruno: Bruno is a kid who never stops eating. He cannot let the witches turn every child into a mouse, so he does have a plan to save the other children. This writer always tries to scare you for example the writer sometimes repeats "this might scare you. That is one of the boy's goals in this book. An another heart pounder was when we get to see what the grandmothers reaction when she sees her grandson that has now been turned into a mouse. There are also little heart pounder, for example a little heart pounder is when Bruno and the boy is in the maids shoe. made her disappear and that witch was gone forever. For example when the boy told the grandmother to stop talking about witches, instead she continued to talk and made it worse. This book has a whole bunch of heart pounders, little and big ones. Grandmother: The grandmother is a character in the book who tells his grandson all about witches, so later the boy is scared and the reader would be a little scared too. He also has another goal and it is now he a is a mouse and also small and can not only help the other children , but help her grandmother who has taken care of him. He also never cares about anything, for example when Bruno was turned into a mouse he didn't even think about his family instead he just started to looked for food. He can go to other house and take back what others has taken from her. Now that the boy has turned into a mouse, but he can still save others.
