Music

             Rock music started in the 1950's with various small bands such as the Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Bill Haley, and the Beach Boys. These gurus of modern music drew a larger crowd at each show, eventually leading to the most listened to music in the world.
             Rock and roll started with rock, it then led to rockabilly. Rockabilly is rock and hillbilly music put together. Elvis Presley pioneered the way to rockabilly. Then various other artists took up that road to rockabilly.
             In the 60's, a trend of people called 'hippies' brought the idea of love and peace into society. In these times artists started using the hippies way of life in their music. Members of 'the Mamas and the Papas', 'the Grateful Dead', 'Jimi Hendrix', and 'Pink Floyd', promoted the hippie movement. However with the hippies came drugs, and in that time rock stars were almost always 'druggies', and that was accepted in society, that rock stars were druggies.
             With drugs came 'Woodstock', in 1969, and together with peace, love, and drugs, a new phase was about to take place in the world. It created a crazy scene of young people, on drugs, and rock music. This was the 'Generation of Love'. One ideal that the hippies had was anti-violence, which was virtually impossible, as the Vietnam War was going on at this time.
             The fans responded just as the bands did about drugs, (they loved it) they also agreed to promote peace and love as the bands did, but the major idea was that these people had was to protest the violence of war. People at Woodstock and all around the world were luring youths to protest Vietnam and violence all over the world. Much of those people who protested were arrested.
             In the later part of the century more aggressive forms of rock were formed. In the 1980's and the 1990's different genres of rock music were formed. 'Punk rock
