Movie Review: Scary Movie

             I went to the movie theater expecting to see a very funny movie. One reason why I expected this movie to be funny was that it was co-stared and co-written by the Wayans brothers (Shawn and Marlon), considered the best comedians in Hollywood. Sadly, my expectations were not met and I was very disappointed with the movie
             Not to be entirely brutal and to give it some credit there were very few scenes that were hilarious. There were some scenes that will make you laugh out loud but for the majority of the film, most jokes will only bring slight smiles and giggles. But after the movie, I wanted to refund my money and the one-hour and thirty-minutes of my life that I lost in watching the movie. Scary Movie is the stupidest comedy film I have ever seen.
             One thing I found stupid about the movie was its plot. The plot of this film is one that you might be familiar with. A group of teenager hit someone by a car accidentally. The next year, someone starts killing them and they suspected that it has something to do with the accident. After the first victim was found dead, the whole thing becomes one big news and a reporter joins in the hunt to get the story first. Yes, you guess it right! The plot was just taken from the movies "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and then combined! There were six writers for this film and they could not come up with a better plot instead of copying from another movies!
             As for the scenes in the movie, it doesn't have one that its own. All scenes in the movie were taken from another movie and then spoofed. The movie managed to spoof numerous films (Blair Witch, Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Matrix, etc.) in the 90 minutes it played.
