Columbus
Christopher Columbus, change the world by "discovering" two new continents. Columbus' discovery had both positive and negative affects. He started the European exploration into the Americas. At first the effect was positive, because the Europeans, and the Native people worked together. Both continents developed new technology that help the world develop. The natives to the Americas help the Europeans start new lifes, in their new world, while the Europeans gave the natives new technology, crops, and brought them Christianity. As time went on, the to civilisations began to hurt each other. The negative effects happened later on as the two groups of people became to hate each other, to the point were they fought in bloody wars. The great ancient civilisations were destroyed by the greediness of the Europe
Without Columbus' voyage, these people probably would have never become explorers, and the world wouldn't be half advanced as it is today. Columbus had so much pressure on him from the beginning to reach Asia, and everyone believed he did. Although Columbus was a very thoughtful man, he was often very stubborn and he did not like to be wrong. Therefore, he did not develop a cocky and boastful attitude. Becoming one of the the great explorers, Christopher Columbus, change the world by "discovering" two new continents. Maybe, if Christopher Columbus' discovery had come later in the world's history, we would have been more careful in preserving the great civilisations of the Americas. Instead, Columbus remained a well established explorer, still yearning for the knowledge of the unknown. Not only did Columbus change the world by discovering America, he also inspired others explorers to live out their dreams, and change the world themselves. Christopher Columbus often showed that he thought that he knew the secrets of the universe. Certainly Columbus had performed brave deeds, but not even at his dying bed could he himself accept the newly found knowledge that the "Asia" he had reached was in fact a new world. This showed the thoughtfulness in Columbus. Christopher Columbus, is one of the most commonly known people in the world. How did he handle his newly found life and riches? Columbus was not a very selfish person. He started America on it's path to becoming the World super power it is today. He also gave a generous amount away to the Spanish royalty.
