Radio Survery
The aim of this report is to investigate and report which FM station and music teenagers and young adults listen to.A random selection of 18 teenager's aged from 13-15 and 18 young adults aged from 18-24 completed a survey with seven questions. The survey asked when, where and which FM station the people listened to on the radio. Additional questions were asked for more information about the radio listener's habits. The surprising thing was that young adults listened to the radio more that the teenagers but the teens said that they occasionally listen to the radio
The strong preferences for the types of music that the teenagers and young adults listen to are mainly R+B for the teens and heavy metal for the young adults. The majority of both teens and young adults listened to B105 the most with tripleM coming in second but with the teens they put down that they listen to other radio stations that weren't listed. Conclusion:The report only went on the FM stations, which wouldn't, made it less accurate if the aim asked for all radio stations. Most teens listen to the radio some times that regally with the young adults regally listening to the radio rather than hardly ever and some times. With the teens 11 people surveyed listened to the radio during the week with 7 people listening to the radio on weekends. The survey could have been more accurate if it had been issued to more people. Anaylst: As the survey shows the teenagers listen to the radio during the week more that week ends with the young adults they were opposite them. More young adults listened to the radio more often but the teens listened to the radio less. The young adults preferred to listen to heavy metal with the other category coming in second. The time of day that the teenagers and young adults listened to the radio were pretty much evenly spread out across the categories. The programs which most people mainly consisted of music and little news. Music seemed to be the main reason why people listen to the radio with only a few people from each group listening it for the news. 10 of the young adults surveyed listened to the radio on weekends with the other 8 people listening to the radio on weekdays. With noon only 2 people listened to the radio with the young adults and no teens listened to the radio at noon.
