Thought
(Before any one reads this I have a few lines to say. The following article actually does not qualify as an essay. Reason - an essay is well defined. Its various parts are interconnected. This actually is an accumulation of the thoughts that were going around in my head a couple of nights ago. One paragraph may seem completely disjointed to the other. This is just me writing without thinking or rather without stopping. I am myself don't know what I am trying to tell you by through this piece, just that I wanted to say something which has been on my mind. Parts of this piece will make no sense what so ever so please do excuse me. I for once wanted to write what ever came into my head without having to edit it any way. So the piece may seem a bit "raw". I wrote most of it at 3 in the morning so that might have something to do with it. So if it gets boring please to continue to read it.)I couldn't sleep. Or rather I didn't want to sleep. It was around 4 in the morning and I had just seen Reetif Goosen, a golfer from South Africa, miss a 2 foot putt to win the US Open. It was the most inexplicable thing ever. Here was a guy who had lead the tournament for virtually 4 days, sunk 15-foot putts, and he here he was missing the easie
If Alexander Graham Bell would have got it right and actually made a device to aid hearing. However wouldn't we then be playing God? I mean we are biological beings having a certain life span. If Zaphod were from such an era well then to him Papa dearest would have lived for a whole year longer. After we die we actually evolve into something new. Do I have time or have I wasted my chance?Wisdom, people say, is at the top of a pyramid. The deathly telephone would ring and in just the bat of an eyelid Zaphod's life would change. Zaphod obviously would be called as soon as possible. We have well defined views on everything. We have much more data now than what anybody can ever imagine to comprehend. We tried repeatedly to wake him up but he was too far to hear us. So in Zaphod's mind his dad has lived 10 minutes more.
