Last Call
The title of the animation is "Last Call" by Jaime Castaneda. The story is set in a bar after its closed for the night. It begins with a cashier machine displaying the name of the animation "Last call". There is a fan on the wall in the left up corner, next to the bar that's right, and the lights turn off by someone (footsteps can be heard), and the door closes (you hear the sound of the door). The whole scene takes 25 seconds until a fade in from black to the bar takes place. The next scene shows a tequila shot glass from an angle of camera 45º. The tequila shot (represents a Mexican man) is wondering around the bar saying "It's so dark in here", there is a small pause and then he continues saying, "where's everybody". The he looks up and sees his "buddies" the other tequila shots above the counter and says "Oh nooo...", at that moment you can see how afraid is the shot by the tone of his voice. Then a female champagne glass approaches sexually the shot glass, and he says "seniorita.." and she talks to it in French "vous parlez francaise". The shot glass doesn't understand a th
The last call is when the bar is closing for the night and the barman says "last call". The characters in this animation are interesting because the tequila shot is Mexican, tequila is from Mexico, the Champaign glasses are female French, champagnes root is France, and the beer glasses are probably German, Germany is known for there beer roots. Then the shot sees a straw and asks him "Senior Straw take me out of here". The tequila shot movements and expressions in addition to his words are appropriate and well balance. As he is shaking at the edge of the bar the straw comes and bends once again and throws him at the cashier machine. There are 10 transitions in the first minute and 9n in the other39 seconds. The action happens to quickly and its appropriate to show the fear of the tequila shot, the stress and the chaos he is in trying to find his buddies. The straw bends and the tequila shot runs towards the straw and jumps will the help of the straw to the cashier machine and rolls towards the other side of the bar table. If I was doing it I would have spent 10 seconds less and doing some more conversations between the characters. During the entire animation the only time that we hear the straw is when it whistles to the shot glass. The straw tries to save him twice, once from the champagne glasses and once from the beer glasses. Above all, the entire movie is 1 minute and 39 seconds and you get the filling that the tequila shot is having trying to get to his buddies. The straw is tall thin and has no voice. The champagne class also moves accordingly with her voice, sexy.
