The Marketing Mix

             The marketing mix is all about the 4 P's. These 4 P's are the baseline and backbone of marketing. They stand for product, promotion, place, price. Product deals with creating a product that people will want. Promotion deals with promoting your product so that people know that it exists. Place deals with having your product where it will be accessible to the consumer. Price deals with putting a decent price for your product will still making money, but making the price to unreasonable. Each of these elements will cost money and the key is how you you want to put these four together to market. Each of these aspects of marketing do not add value of any sort to the product. Another important aspect of marketing is the concept of exchange. In this concept, each party must have something that another party values, both parties must be free to accept or reject an offer, and both parties must want to deal with one another.
             The shoe company Nike does very well in their marketing. They understand very well what the consumer wants and they do a very good job giving the customer what they want. In almost every magazine I have read, I have always seen some sort of Nike ad in their trying to promote shoes or clothing. Even when I take a little peek into my girlfriend's Cosmo, I will see a Nike women's ad. Nike's marketing department does a good job handling the 4 P's. When I think about it further, it makes perfect sense. Take for instance the 4 P's. Nike has products that people want to buy such as shoes, clothes, and other accessories. They promote their products very well whether it be by magazine or television or billboard. Their prices are somewhat high, but very reasonable for their high-quality products. And finally, you can get Nike products at pretty much every mall you go to. Stores like Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Footaction all carry Nike produ
