Friendship

             What is friendship? Friendship is a word used to describe many different kinds of personal relationships. Many people are just acquaintances, yet they call it friendship. True friends know the difference. Other people are friends in school, and then after school, they go their own ways. True friends are not just "sometime friends". The dictionary defines friendship as "the condition or relation of being friends". But friendship could never be understood by simply reading a definition out of a book. The thesaurus also tries to define friendship by using synonyms like cordiality, fellowship, and brotherhood, but this also falls short of an acceptable definition. The true meaning of friendship will not be gain by anyone, until it has been experienced firsthand.
             Take for instance a scientist. Before coming up with a conclusion for a problem he makes a hypothesis. The hypothesis simply states what they think the result will be, but they're not a 100% sure. To have a positive answer the scientists will need to experiment first. The same matter applies to friendship. Anyone can make a hypothesis of what friendship is. But your theory will never become a law, or be proven until you've experienced it.
             There are many sensible reasons of why you need to experienced friendship firsthand to fully understand it. It's not good to go by no one else meaning or interpretation of it. Take the phrase "diamonds are a girl best friend" or even " a dog is mans best friend". Even though a diamond does not breathe, a woman can still consider that a friend. The same with a man, even though the dog doesn't walk on two legs a man can still establish a friendship with that dog. So what does that have to do with experiencing friendship firsthand?
