I hope to gain and advanced knowledge of both worldly and non-worldly things. I hope to see my academic life prosper as well as my spiritually and social lives. Through course work and interaction, I expect to "feed" my mind and make my world and myself a little bit better. I hope to grow also as a musician. Maybe it is better for one to expect little and learn much, for without expectations and/or biases on one's mind, then one may freely learn. The one major thing that I hope of in my college years is freedom and chances. But, I hope to be strong enough to meet my confrontations in stride and be able to turn away the many things that seek to knock me off of my path. But the most of all, I do not expect for my road to be a smooth one, I anticipate many a bump and pothole in my way. With so much in the media about college, it is hard to grasp onto and idea of what the college experience is exactly, and maybe that is a good thing. masters all the way to novices can enjoy and help shape each other's aspirations. The freedom to inquire into any field that I wish, and chances to learn on my own through my advances and my failures. So I try to keep my mind open as to what awaits for me in the years to come and keep with my, merely hopes.
