What Beliefs Can a Christian Derive from the Titles Jesus?

What Beliefs Can a Modern Christian The Disciple's understanding of the titles of Jesus evolves throughout all of the Gospels, this is reflected in particular in Mark's Gospel with his use of the titles for Jesus. Mark opens the Gospel using the Term the 'Son of God', showing this is his opinion of how Jesus should be viewed. The title Son of God most obviously refers to the promise God made with king David; that his descendants would follow him onto the throne of Israel, one of them being the 'Son of God' - a Messiah. It can be said though Jesus never physically sat on the throne of Israel. But a Christian making an anti-semitistic statement can often be argued down by another saying Jesus was in fact the 'King of the Jews' whose homeland is Israel, so when thinking metaphorically this fits rather nicely. However this title is only used four times throughout the Gospel: one mentioned above; another when Jesus is exorcising demons in Mk. 3:11 they would call out "You are the Son of God" but he would immediately silence them, suggesting he did not want people to hear him referred to in this way; in Mk. 14:61+62 facing trial before the High Priest He answers yes when questioned if He was, in

I could go on quoting to reiterate the same point but it is a little out of my way as they all say a thing, he wanted be seen this way. The title actually suggests a figure the ordinary person, weak and humble, can relate to but modern Christians can also say it means He has been given a special role from God - like the term Messiah. Christians, now and then, believe He was the fulfilment of the promise made to David and these titles show this, though the Jews nowadays are still waiting for such a man. In conclusion it shows that the Jews were expecting a warrior and successor to the line of David which is what the titles would have suggested at the time of Jesus and before. Messiah and Christ are actually the same word but in Hebrew and Greek respectively, meaning anointed one with a special mission from God. But for modern christian they show us that Jesus was God, The Son - the second part of the holy trinity - and that he was God incarnate, come to Earth in human form. Son of David is just a continuation of the easy to swallow 'Son of -' tactic but still essentially refers to the same thing. Although the less concerned Christian can say He was simply saying 'Me' or 'I', I believe this is half write as He was referring to Himself however when he did this he also wanted to reiterate that he had a human side as well. The final term is actually three likewise terms that were never used together because it would just sound silly: Messiah/Christ/Son of David. 8:27-30 the Jews believed He was claiming to be so, even the disciples thought he was the fulfilment of God's promise as, when questioned by Him as to who people say He is, Peter among the other disciples eventually says he is the 'Messiah'. fact, the Son of God, suggesting this was perhaps the true title for him; and ultimately on the cross when the centurion says "truly He was the Son of God" in Mk. And finally at the trial before the Sanhedrin he accepts the title, which is the final evidence needed to execute Him. A long time before the delivery of Jesus unto the Jews, the Jews believed a Messiah was to come and free them of their conqueroring scourge - by the time of Jesus this was the Romans - and to begin another succession of rulers like that at the time of David and beyond who were just 'warrior kings'. Imagine the Jews annoyance, then, when God delivered unto them a 'Messiah' who saw himself as a 'Suffering Servant' when he was supposed to be glorious, preaching 'Peace', 'Love' and 'Forgiveness'.
