France, being my pet nation, is located in Europe. The location of France is in Western Europe, bordering the Bay of Biscay and the English Channel, between Belgium and Spain, southeast to the United Kingdom, bordering the Mediterranean Sea, between Italy and Spain. The geographical terrain mostly consists of flat plains or gently rolling hills in the north and west; but to the south are the Pyrenees and the Alps in the east. France has trade relations with almost all of there neighboring countries. They import 62% of their goods from Europe, the nations being: Germany, Italy, Belgium-Luxembourg, United Kingdom, and Spain. Also they trade with the United States. Meaning France is pretty well off considering the comparison with the United States, and the huge difference in population size. France's size in comparison with the United States is that it is about a little less than two times the size of Colorado. The United States has membership to 73 international organizations, so by surprise, France is more internationally involved by participation in organizations. The French PPP being $22,030 in comparison with the United States at $29,010. France is involved in 88 international organizations, 69 of which the United States are also members to. The French population in respects with the United States, its population being about a quarter of the size of the United States. Separatists were upset with this so they carried out several bombings on Corsica, mostly at night to keep casualties to a minimum. France in the international prospective is very much involved in international organizations. France has some territorial disputes between Suriname and the French Guiana, also a claim of territorial land called the Adelie Land, in Antarctica. The only real international disputes are with Nigeria, Algeria and the Colonies, which I will go more into detail with in Paper two. French Relations with Britain have worsened during the year since France refused to import British beef, this resulted in legal action against France by the European Union. France does have more territorial disputes, but they are little and not worth talking about. The life expectancy in France is 78 years old where in the United States it is 77 years old. France seems to be very much involved internationally, meaning they have few enemies internationally, and they would like to see improvements through the vast majority of the international nations.
