Interpersonal Relations (1) (2)
The college experience can be very demanding academically. Unfortunately, some students resort to cheating in order to make acceptable grades. This is the case with Brad, as he submits a paper he didn't write. Carl, another student, is aware of Brad's action and realizes he too is in danger if he fails to notify proper college authority of Brad's dishonest behavior. Carl is faced with a moral decision and has the following options: do his part and inform authorities of Brad's dishonesty without giving Brad time to confess, warn Brad that he won't turn him in this time, but will if it happens again, tell Brad that he will inform the proper authorities if Brad refuses to confess to his academic dishonesty, or he can ignore the situation and allow Brad to accept credit for another's work. Our society is violent enough without exposing young children to guns and taking a life for fun. However, it would be unfair to accept an equal economic income for all citizens. She would rather die now than die of cancer later. Carl would not in academic danger, therefore, it would be respectful to approach Brad in this manner.
