On Valentine’s day Iverson and some of his friends, who were all black and jocks went to the local bowling alley.

After two years at Georgetown Iverson announced that he was going into the draft and he must likely did that to get his family out of the projects as soon as possible. After all that he still got to go to a good school. He was later caught and convicted of drug possession. In a interview with Iverson he said that the man was just trying to do good for his family, he never stole anything. Iverson was well know in the town because just two months early he had led his high school football team to the state championship and was in the process of doing the same in basketball.

While he was still in jail he got to think about future. At Georgetown he finally found a father figure John Thompson. The man that they do know as a father is Michael Freeman who is also the man that thought Iverson to play ball and has also been in and out of jail. in jail for throwing a chair at a girl but only served four months because the states first black Governor let him out and granted him conditional release. He knew that some schools would not want him now that he had been to jail but he would not let that hold him back from getting what he wanted. Iverson who was 17 at the time was tried as an adult and was convicted. When he got out he tried to make a name for him self by going to a Nike Camp in Indianapolis and earning a MVP trophy. jail for charges on stabbing a former girlfriend.
