One reason a teenager may consider suicide is family conflict. Since 1950, teenage suicide has increased 300 percent (Chiles 16). Although accidents are the major cause of death in the teenage age group, many can be attributed to suicide or suicidal behavior. Furthermore, many teens who make a suicide attempt has stated that they feel better afterwards. Men traditionally chose a more violent and final ways of killing themselves.
