While the laborers were ill treated like an animal, they wanted to get over the situation. Lowell, the first factory employed Yankee women recruited from the nearby countryside. There was no policy that the government kept watch on the factories. During that time, many immigrations, black people, women, and children got into the labor market. In addition to cut in wages, would make difference of least on dollar a week. They didn't have any protection even though they got sick and were cut the salary. Also, cutting down the wages was not their only grievance, nor the only cause of the strike. Low wages, monopoly, and child labor were not unlawfulness. Also, the woman laborers and child laborers were increasing because they worried in lower wages than men. The wages were to be cut down, great indignation was felt, and it was decided to strike. The factories were not accepted about off the work even if the laborers were sick. The effort that the laborers combated for their right is developed theses day's labor police.
