Animal Farm

             Animal Farm is a story about a group of animals who live in a farm in England which belongs to a man named Mr. Jones. After years of mistreatment, shortage in food and very hard work the animals decide to take action and start a revolution in the farm.
             The story begins with a secret meeting of all animals in Manor Farm. Major, an old pig who is highly regarded in the farm, tells the animals about his dream of a revolution against the cruel Mr. Jones. Three days later Major dies, but his speech leaves a strong impact on the animals. The pigs, who are considered to be the most intelligent animals, instruct the other ones. Napoleon, Snowball and Squealer, three pigs who are very different from one another work together and come up with the theory of "Animalism". According to that theory all animals are equal and men are the enemy. ("Four legs good – two legs bad")
             One night Mr. Jones comes home drunk and forgets to feed the animals. At that moment the animals decide they must do something. They break out of the barns and run to the house, where the food is stored. Mr. Jones is completely helpless against all the animals and is driven off the farm. During the celebration of their victory the pigs presents the seven commandments. It seems like new era for the animals in Manor Farm, which is now called Animal Farm. No more long working hours, no more shortage of food, and most importantly - they are the ones who control of the farm. But the ideals of the revolution and the seven commandments written on the wall at the big barn are soon abandoned one by one.
             The pigs, with Napoleon as the leader, take over the main house. Napoleon eliminates Snowball from the farm and begins to spread false rumors that Snowball was actually co-operating with Mr. Jones.
