Roberto Mussolini

The moment I heard the name Rudolph Valentino it immediately caught my attention. His name reminded me of a combination of a fashion designer and a red nosed reindeer. When I heard who he actually was, I was even more intrigued. He was one of the main heartthrobs of the 1920's. Being a hopeless romantic myself, this description caught my attention. The only thing I had known previously about him before doing my research was that he was a good looking, enormously admired, actor. I wanted to find more out about this man. I wanted to take a look into the life of a 1920's movie star. I thought that the search process on Rudolph Valentino would be fairly easy. I thought I would go to Yahoo, type in his name, and hundreds of websites would appear at my fingertips. It turns out it wasn't that simple. Four days before the report was due, my Internet cable connection stopped working. I had heard that the system hadn't been working properly lately and I figured it would clear up in a day or so. A day goes by and I decide to bug my parents about trying to get it to work. They call the computer company and their advice was, "wait a day or so". I was left with no idea who Rudolph Valentino is, two days to writ

I found several biographies about Valentino that were very useful. The "Latin Lover" however was not always as well known and adored as he was in the 1920's. Before long Natacha left him to go live with her mother. After living in America for six months he got a job as a gardener on the estate of a millionaire, Cornelius Bliss. Valentino married a lesbian, Jean Acker. He arrived in New York on December 23, 1913. I then decided to call up one of my best friends who lives next door and see if I could use her computer. I honestly don't believe much of the history of Valentino's life will be that relevant in the rest of my life but I do now have a deeper understanding of how life in the 1920's really was. He wanted to go somewhere far and exciting. When I got home I looked in the books and realized there was about enough information in those books to write a half of a paragraph. Valentino was now a rich, young, good-looking, typical Hollywood actor. From a very young age Rudolph wanted to get out of his small town. One of the main things that I learned from researching Valentino is how much the 1920's are similar to today. My most useful website was an autobiography written by Valentino himself at http://www. He was especially good at the tango.
