The money should be put into more important areas, such as education and the health care system rather than a project with an impossible compliance deadline. Furthermore, a reasonable increase in present global temperatures could be beneficial as warming could result in greater precipitation, which would aid in the production of agricultural. Unless the government knows what to do about these workers, they should rethink their strategy. But who knows? Maybe it was meant to happen, as we will never fully understand the intentions of this complex world. An increase in gas prices is also most probable as where else are they going to obtain the proper funds? What Canada needs is a solution to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases without crippling the Canadian economy. Hundreds of thousands of workers jobs would be put at stake just for the slight chance of a decrease in the climate, which may not even improve the condition of the planet. This would most certainly flood the job market with an excess of unemployed workers, as there could not possibly be enough jobs for future employment. As for the decrease in the emissions to cool down the planet, this is merely a speculation since forty million years ago the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was ten times greater than today yet the temperature was substantially cooler. Some of it could even be implemented into scientific research to uncover a cleaner, more efficient energy source or pollution reducing technology instead of wiping out entire industries.

Although gas emissions would be reduced considerably, many jobs would be lost in the process. Only two of the top twenty deadliest storms occurred during extreme heat conditions.

Following the loss of jobs would be the set back of the Canadian economy.
