Confucius - the greatest philosopher of all time

Confucius, a great philosopher of all time, was very big on ethics and the proper management of society. His ethics were basically just all based around rules, results, and relationships. He wanted things to be set around his morals. His teachings, still exist today, as society try to apply that to everyday life. The truth and importance of his words are still important to this day, because Confucius' teachings developed in reaction to the times in which he lived – and our times are very much like his. Because according to writings of the era, the days in which Confucius lived were, compared to the past, a time of moral chaos, just like today, we compare to the olden days and say how corrupted the world is now. For example, the government had many problems, crime was on the rise, and murder back then was becoming a serious problem, and it still is. And the line between rich and poor was very distinct. Common values were widely rejected or just simply disregarded.
But Confucius had the mindset of having a positive attitude and to always just be true to himself and his morals. He believed that all that was necessary was just to be polite and good. He knew his duty was to hand on the knowledge and methods of the ancients, not to create or innovate. In general, he wanted to restore the order out of chaos, well, we are still living in a world of chaos because we, unlike Confucius do not apply this mindset.
See, Confucius had this dream of universal peace and prosperity. His utopian vision was to have the world at peace, order abounds, and the harmony between the natural and the social sphere result in well-being for everyone. He was a very simple man because the bottom line was, he just wanted everybody to get along. So if he could see the world now, he probably would not be pleased. Yes, there are nice and kind people in this world, but not everyone is following Confucius' believes of "jen".
