Bell was born in Edinburg, Scotland on March 3, 1847. Alexander was interested in a lot of things as a young boy. He had a great gift for sounds and tones. Bell’s father and grandfather were both speech teachers and were of coarse an influence on bell. Alexander Graham Bell’s father introduced visible speech, which helped the deaf communicate. Alexander and his father worked on this together.

Another great discovery happened by accident just three days later after Bell got his patent. During this time and a couple years later Alexander achieve many other things. During the day he worked with the deaf and at night he would work on his invention of the telephone. Alexander had invented a way of transmitting sound electrically (The basic principle of the telephone). Bell did not know much about electricity. Watson knew a lot about electricity and had the ability to make great models.
